COVID-19 Protocols

Teaching children to swim safely has always been our number one priority and that has guided our response to COVID-19. The protocols listed below are regularly reviewed to reflect best practice and any changes in NSW Health guidelines.

Since the pandemic began there has not been a single confirmed case of the virus being transmitted at a Carlile Swimming Facility and research in the United Kingdom has found the virus can’t survive in properly treated water, find out more here. Carlile Swimming maintains the highest standards of hygiene, using the latest air and water filtration technologies and chlorine treatments, together with an added UV filtration system, providing a double layer of protection in the water

HEALTH AND SAFETY

  • Staff are fully vaccinated and  if anyone shows symptoms, they won’t work until they are tested and given the all clear.
  • As a condition of entry all visitors and swimmers over 16 must be fully vaccinated or exempt. If you or your child shows any symptoms, please don’t attend your class.

  • Hand sanitisers are available.
  • Surfaces are regularly disinfected throughout the day.
  • Cleaning professionals do a deep clean each evening.

LIMITING NUMBERS

  • When possible we encourage just one carer per child inside the swim school.
  • If possible, we request that non-swimming siblings don’t attend.
  • We encourage you to ‘wrap and go’ your child to limit numbers in the change rooms.

  • Contactless check in.
  • If you are unwilling to show your vaccination status or agree to our family policy we reserve the right to ask you to leave the facility.
  • Staff have completed the Government’s COVID-19 Infection Control training.
